Question 1

What window tint is legal in California?

Accepted Answer

Front driver and passenger windows must let in at least 70% of light, so we use clear heat-rejecting ceramic film there. Rear side windows and the back glass can be any shade, and a non-reflective strip is allowed across the top 4 inches of the windshield. Medical exemptions exist with a doctor's note — ask us. California tint laws vary by window position. Ask us which shades are legal for your vehicle.

Question 2

How long does window tint take?

Accepted Answer

Most cars are finished the same day, typically in a few hours. We have a waiting area, or you can drop the car off. We'll confirm timing when you book.

Question 3

When can I roll my windows down?

Accepted Answer

Give the film 3–5 days to cure. Slight haze or small water pockets during that time are normal and disappear on their own.

Question 4

PPF or ceramic coating — which do I need?

Accepted Answer

PPF is a physical film that stops rock chips and scratches. Ceramic coating adds gloss, makes washing easy and protects against chemicals and UV, but won't stop chips. Many clients do PPF on the front and coat the whole car.

Question 5

How long does ceramic coating last?

Accepted Answer

Depending on the package and how the car is maintained, our coatings last from 1 to 7 years. Maintained correctly, we stand behind our product.

Question 6

Will ceramic tint interfere with my phone or GPS?

Accepted Answer

No. Every XPEL film we install is signal-safe.

Question 7

Do you offer pickup?

Accepted Answer

Yes — auto pickup and delivery is available. Call us to arrange it.

Question 8

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing depends on your vehicle, the film or package and coverage. Request a quote or call and we'll give you exact, honest pricing — usually same day.
